Departmental Contributions to the Strategic Path to Prominence

GRADUATE AND EXECUTIVE PROGRAMS

  1. A Premiere Research and Graduate University
     

    • Develop a long-range plan to elevate professional graduate programs into national and international prominence. Conduct a comprehensive curriculum review of the MBA and EMBA program requirements to revise and enhance content.
       
    • Strengthen EDGE principles in the core/required classes. Utilize technology, internet and web options, and additional media to promote graduate programs and to incorporate additional delivery and learning methods into the coursework.
       
    • Determine appropriate strategies in efforts to be recognized in the Business Week Part Time program rankings.
  2. Excellence in Professional Education
     

    • Develop and initiate executive education short courses and certificate programs.

  4. The Global Initiative
     

    • Increase international presence by promoting exchange programs, joint degree programs and new study abroad initiatives with partner universities.
  5. The Engaged University
     

    • Expand outreach efforts to determine if additional opportunities exist for offering onsite programs similar to the UD MBA currently being offered at AstraZeneca.
       
    • In collaboration with the newly-established College Career Services unit, support efforts to develop additional internship, mentorship, and placement opportunities.
       
    • Strengthen partnerships with MBA alumni and the business community, possibly through student/alumni roundtable discussions, an MBA Career Fair, or guest lecturers through an MBA Speaker Series and/or an enhanced Tyler Executive Leadership Lecture Series.
