David E. Hollowell

David E. Hollowell came to the University of Delaware in 1988 as senior vice president, assumed the position of executive vice president in 1996 and added the treasurer's duties in 2002. He retired as of December, 2007 and has been granted emeritus status. He previously served as vice president for administration at Boston University. Mr. Hollowell was the chief operating and chief financial officer of the University.He currently serves as a part-time education consultant and is serving as president of the Boston University Alumni Association.

While at Delaware, Mr. Hollowell was instrumental in efforts to streamline administrative procedures and re-engineer services as well as overseeing a major campus construction and renovation program. Mr. Hollowell is past-president of the Society for College and University Planning, was chairman of the board for the March of Dimes of Delaware, and served as President of the Lincoln Club of Delaware. He has served as a volunteer with the United Way of Delaware, the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. He is also on the board of directors of the Wilmington Savings Fund Society Bank.
