Albert Niggli
Albert Niggli hails from the tourism canton of Graubunden (Grisons) in Switzerland, having been born there in 1946. It would therefore be accurate to say that he was raised on tourism, and has in fact been directly or indirectly connected with that branch of industry since his childhood.
After having attended the University of Applied Sciences for Pedagogy, Albert Niggli undertook four semester of study in psychology, Germanic studies, and history at the University of Zurich, whereupon he entered the world of business and industry.
For ten years, Albert Niggli was CEO of a tourism company. For another ten years, he was involved in banking, holding an executive function in Investment and Private Banking as a member of the directorship of a prominent Swiss bank.
Since the beginning of 2003, Albert Niggli has been executive representative of the board of directors of the Arabella Schweiz AG (shareholding corporation), a business unit of the Schorghuber Industrial Group of Munich, Germany. Furthermore, he is Chairman of the Board and CEO of the SSTH Swiss School of Tourism and Hospitality, of which the Arabella Schweiz AG is the parent company, in Chur, Switzerland.
