Paul Rowson is the human resources business partner manager for The MITRE Corporation where he provides strategic leadership and talent management support to the organization. He is a seasoned human resources generalist with executive leadership experience in business development, account management, and general management in both private and public sector markets.
Prior to his current position, Rowson was the general manager of WorldatWork’s Washington, DC Office and Conference Center where he worked closely with federal and private sector leadership on behalf of the association and its mission. He is currently a Total Rewards ambassador and spokesperson on behalf of WorldatWork.
Earlier in his career, Rowson served as human resources business partner with Fannie Mae. He was vice president of business development at Alexus International, an application service provider that offered enterprise level recruiting and staffing solutions. He also spent nearly 10 years at Marriott International in various corporate human resources positions, including college relations.
Rowson has served on the advisory boards of numerous college hospitality programs, including the CHRIE board. He was a member of Secretary of Labor Robert Reich’s Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills and served as ad hoc committee member and advisor to the Director of Civil Rights. He chaired the Washington, D.C. Employer Advisory Committee to the District of Columbia’s Department of Employment Services. He’s been a frequent guest on Federal News Radio, appeared on Reuter’s TV and has been quoted in the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Money, Workforce Magazine as well as several trade publications for his expertise in talent acquisition, HR technology, and leadership development.
