The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition that offers students the unique opportunity to learn from leading industry experts and compete with peers from the world's top business schools. The competition has grown to involve tens of thousands of students from over 800 universities in more than 55 countries. Students work in teams to research and analyze a publicly traded company, including meeting face-to-face and/or having a conference call with company management. Each team assumes the role of a sell-side analyst research team writing an extensive initiation research report on its assigned company with a buy, sell, or hold recommendation. At the local level (Philadephia, in UD's case), the top four teams (out of 14 from the region) were asked to present and defend their analysis to a panel of industry professionals on February 12th at the Union League in Philadelphia. Our team came out the winner and now advances to the Americas Regional Competition to be held in Atlanta, Georgia on April 15th and 16th with a chance to compete in the global finals on April 17th.
