Lerner College Outstanding Outreach/Service Award
The Lerner College Outstanding Teacher Award will be awarded to a full time faculty member to recognize outstanding overall contribution to the Lerner College’s educational mission. Criteria for selection may include: classroom performance as evidenced by outstanding teaching evaluations over a sustained period and/or letters of recommendation by current or former students, pedagogical innovation and program development, advising, mentoring, and career guidance, pedagogical research that has impacted Lerner College’s academic program delivery.
The Lerner College Outstanding Scholar Award will be awarded to a full time faculty member to recognize outstanding scholarship by a Lerner College faculty member over a sustained period of time. Evidence of scholarship may include books and chapters, journal publications, conference presentations and publications, invited lectures, editorships, citation by other scholars, and other external recognition (e.g., professional society nominations, prizes).
The Lerner College Outstanding Outreach/Service Award will be awarded to a full time faculty member to recognize outstanding outreach/service contributions particularly those whose efforts significantly impact the department, college, community, state, region and/or international constituencies. Evidence may include an overview of the nominee's outreach/service record; target audience and how it has complemented the educational mission of the Lerner College.
Students, alumni, staff and/or faculty members should submit letters of nomination, including a copy of the nominee’s resume and any other supporting materials, to Nancy Proctor (proctor
lerner [dot] udel [dot] edu) by Friday, April 24, 2009. Prior recipients in the past five years are ineligible. Self-nominations will not be accepted.
