MIS Capstone Project Courses
Additionally, there are several other MIS capstone courses that offer real world work experience. These courses depend on the type of program in which the student is enrolled. For example, students in the Global Enterprise Technology (GET) minor may take MISY 437 and MISY 439 in the fall and spring of their senior year. If the student is enrolled in the immersion option, he/she will enroll in 12-15 credit paid internship. The courses involved in the immersion are MISY 370, MISY 375, and MISY 420.
Students enrolled in the MIS major or MIS minor and Information Systems major participate in MIS 431 and MIS 432 Project Management in the spring of their senior year. These 6 credits have interdisciplinary student teams working with companies and non-profits in the area to solve a business problem with a technology component.
