Dual MBA/MA in Economics Degree

The MBA/MA Dual Degree program allows students to earn an MA in Economics and the MBA with 57 credits of course work. The application process for the dual program is the same as the application process for the MBA program.

This program is designed primarily for students who have had a substantial number of economics courses in their undergraduate program. Without such preparation, it might be difficult to complete the MA/MBA with 57 credits.

2nd Semester

  • FINC 850 - Financial Management
  • BUAD 870 - Managing Human Capital
  • BUAD 880 - Marketing Management

3rd Semester

  • ECON 802 - Macroeconomics
  • ACCT 801 - Management Control Systems
  • BUAD 831 - Operations Management and Management Science
  • Elective (ACCT, BUAD,FINC)

4th Semester

  • BUAD 840 - Ethical Issues in the Business Environment
  • BUAD 890 - Corporate Strategy
  • Elective (ACCT,BUAD, FINC)

5th Semester

Each class is 3 credits and 57 credits are required.
Prerequisites include passing a math requirement exam.

Additional requirements : Attend at least 10 economics seminars and pass comprehensive exams.
