Declaring a Major
All Business Undeclared students are required to declare a major within the Lerner College by October 1st of their sophomore year. Students with a declared major, other than Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management majors, may change their major until October 1st of their sophomore year.
Students are guaranteed their choice of major from the following:
- Accounting
- Economics (B.S. or B.A.)
- Economics Education
- Finance
- International Business Studies
- Management Information Systems
- Management
- Marketing
- Operations Management
After October 1st of their sophomore year students may still declare or change their major(s), but will be subject to department admission requirements. Students are not guaranteed the major of their choice after October 1st of their sophomore year.
Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management majors interested in changing their major to another business area must apply to the department and are subject to department admission criteria. For additional information, see our document on internal change of majors.
How Do I Declare?
Log on to your UDSIS account and submit a request for change of program plan form. Indicate the major(s) of your choice.
