Technology Help

As of November 1st Lerner will be moving to a centralized IT support ticketing system called Footprints.  This is a move to improve the service provided to Lerner personnel.  It will allow faculty and staff to submit tickets in three ways:

  • By placing a call to extension 6000 (the preferred method of submission)
    • If you call between the hours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. someone should be available to answer your call and walk you through 1st level troubleshooting requests.  Any request needing further assistance will be sent to all Lerner IT Professional & Student Staff where the trouble ticket will be tracked until completion.
      • This addresses the issue of Lerner IT not always being available by phone during business hours
    • If you call after 5 P.M. and leave a voice mail, your voice message will be converted to text and a ticket submitted on your behalf
    • The external phone number for support is (302)831-6000 please add this to your contacts list
  • Emailing lerner-consult@udel.edu (the second preferred method of submission)
    • Screenshots are especially helpful.  If you can take a screenshot of your error to email it provides valuable diagnostic information.
  • Filling out our new support form
    • You will need to fill out your name, email, phone number and provide a description of your issue.  Any additional details you can provide will likely prove helpful in reaching a quick resolution.

This site also stores solutions to previous issues in a searchable database.  This will give Lerner IT the ability to more quickly resolve issues previously addressed.  We will also be able to generate reports to see where we can make improvements and provide better service.

We hope that you find this site easy to use and helpful in resolving your computing problems.

Faculty and staff who have a new personal device or would like to manage multiple email accounts may perform the following functions at this link:

  • Register a computer for online access
  • Set or change @udel.edu email forwarding
  • Change UDel username and/or password

University of Delaware Central Information Technology Department Help and Guides

The Lerner College is home to a state-of-the-art financial trading facility, the $1.5 million student-led Blue Hen Investment Club, a student-managed restaurant and hotel, a high-technology development center of a global bank and a start-up experience for students with new business ideas.

Lerner College faculty - like Meryl Gardner, whose research on foods and moods was recently published in the Journal of Consumer Psychology - are thought leaders who command attention from influential business audiences, economists and policy makers.

All Lerner College departments offer discovery learning experiences and emphasize data-based analytics to enrich the student experience. Here, students at Vita Nova, our award-winning restaurant run through HRIM, joined professional chefs and winemakers in hosting a 2014 Mid-Atlantic Wine and Food Festival event.

The Institute for Financial Services Analytics is a collaboration between the Lerner College, UD's College of Engineering and JPMorgan Chase, and hosts events for academics and the business community designed to address consumer analytics and industry applications.

Undergraduate scholarships, made possible through the generosity of alumni and friends, enable us to support promising scholars. Here, Delaware Gov. Jack Markell and his mother, Leni Markell, join recipients of the William Markell Scholarship (center), which benefits students in Accounting and MIS.
